    Got this out of our recent newspaper...Entry by Bobby Flay on BBQing...
    Chicken...A good rub for boneless skinless chicken breasts is equal parts salt, pepper, cumin and chili powder. Rub this spice blend liberally on the chicken breasts 10 minutes before grilling. One minute before grilling, drizzle with olive oil. Can't see why you can't apply this rub to the chicken you are going to put on beer can....Or you can marinate boneless skinless chicken breasts, or your chicken. (see recipe below)
    Tenderize chicken legs, thighs, and drumsticks or whole chicken in the following mixture for at least 2 hours before grilling.

    1 cup orange juice 2 TBLS black pepper
    1/4cup soy sauce 1/2 TSP cayenne pepper
    1/2 cup canola oil 2 TBLS freah chopped ginger

    When ready to cook,wipe off most of the marinade,season with salt and grill over high heat for 5 minutes each side (or in the case of your chicken however long it takes)then reduce the temperature and cook for and additional 20 minutes or until the chicken reaches and internal temp of 165-170 degrees. Play with this. I think it will answer your question.
