    Sausage & Egg Casserole

    8 slices of bread, cubed
    2 C. mild cheddar cheese
    8 eggs
    4 C. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 to 2 lb. sausage, browned & drained, or ham chopped

    Cube bread. Place in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Put sausage or ham, and cheese on top of bread. In a separate mixing bowl, beat eggs well. Add milk, salt, pepper, and dry mustard to eggs. Mix well. Pour liquid over bread, cheese & meat mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Bake for 1 hour at 325.

    I'm making this for tonight. I've always made it the night before, but today, I refrigerated it for just a couple of hours this afternoon. I didn't think it would matter, but we'll have to see!

    Anyway, it has a "star" by it in my recipe index and my kids even love it too!
