2 T. oil
2 lb. round steak, cut into serving size pieces
1/2 c. flour
3-4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
4 large carrots, sliced
2 onions, sliced
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
14 1/2 oz. can diced tomatoes
8 oz. can tomato sauce
Heat oil in skillet. Coat steak with flour adn brown in hot oil. Remove from skillet and drain. Place potatoes, carrots and onion in bottom of crockpot. Place steak on top of vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour tomatoes and tomato sauce over meat. Cover, cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours.
I doubled the amount of potatoes for my family of 5 plus one of the boys buddies that were going to eat, used a bag of baby carrots, doubled the tomatoes, used a lg. can of tomato sauce and added 2 T. worchestershire sauce and 2 T. brown sugar to the tomato sauce before adding. Right before taking meat out, I made a thickener of flour and water and poured over everything to make a thicker gravy. Very, very delicious!
Hope you enjoy!
