Broccoli Beef

2 cups broccoli, cut into 1 in pieces
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup thinly sliced beef
vegetable oil

Mix sugar, cornstarch, water, and soy sauce. Heat oil in pan over med-high heat. Add broccoli, stir-fry in pan 3-4 minutes. Remove broccoli, adding more oil to pan if needed, making sure to heat oil. Add beef, stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Add sauce to meat in pan and allow to boil for 15-20 seconds. Add broccoli and mix. Pour onto a bed of rice and serve.

note: I add a bit more cornstarch, I find that I like the sauce a bit thicker than this recipe calls for. I got this recipe off an internet search site and immediately added it to my tried and true recipes.
