I found this recipe from another site, and have used it many times. It's so easy, and delicious.
All you need is:
1 package dry italian salad dressing mix(Good Seasons)
1 can of beer
Pot Roast
Brown the pot roast on all sides in dutch oven on stove top. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and add salad dressing mix and the can of beer. Cover and place in preheated oven at 350* for 3 hours. During the last hour of cooking, i always add potatoes and baby carrots.
This turns out so tender and moist, and you can thicken the juices, but I never do..it's great the way it is, and since the alcohol cooks out, it's ok for the kiddies too. I haven't tried it in the crock pot yet, but i'm sure it would work there too.
