Easy one for Labor Day BBQ

1- Whole Amish Chicken -cleaned & dried

2- Season in & out with salt & pepper

3- Handful of brown sugar inside & rubbed all over outside.

4- Place in plastic bag/or bowl in fridge for 2 hours.

5-Remove from bag open 1 can of beer and sip out about 1/3. I f you need more beer open another and leave this one for the chicken. Snap off the pop top and center your chicken cavity over the can of beer.

6- Place on BBQ sitting up!

7- Roast 1-1/2 hours over coals @ 325 if you have a thermometer on your grill. Test checken for doneness by leg that needs to move freely.

*They are making racks to hold 3 cans so you can use multiple chickens.

I made something very similar to this it is called "Drunken Chicken". The recipe was a little simpler, just seasoned with Lawry's seasoning salt in & out, and yes, the main ingredient - beer and bbq'd for 2 hrs on 350. Boy was it tasty!!!! Even tasted better on sandwiches the next day.
