    Yields 4 servings

    2 tsp.grated lemon peel
    2 garlic cloves,minced
    1 tsp.dried thyme
    1/4 tsp.salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbls.butter or margarine
    1 Tbls.lemon juice
    4 boneless beef sirloin steaks(about 2 lbs.& 1" thick)

    In a small bowl,combine the lemon peel,garlic,thyme,salt & pepper.Set aside 1 Tbls.seasoning mixture for steaks.In a small saucepan melt butter,stir in lemon juice & remaining seasoning mixture.Set aside & keep warm.

    Rub steaks with reserved seasoning mixture.Grill steaks,uncovered over medium heat for 8-12 minutes on each side or til meat reaches desired doneness(for rare,a meat thermometer should read 140 degrees,medium 160 degrees well done 170 degrees)Serve with reserved butter sauce.
