Oh my gosh. This threw me for a loop when I first read the recipe from the alpine lace website. I was looking for a recipe that was a fast (and easy) sandwich but filling. The ingrediants make you think that it's not gonna be good, but oh my gosh, it's wonderful.
Zesty Roast Beef Sandwiches
4 ounces reduced fat cream cheese (I used regular)
2 Tbsp prepared horseradish
1 lb loaf french bread
1 cup whose berry cranberry sauce
3/4 lb sliced roast beef
6 (1-ounce) slices provolone cheese
6 lettuce leaves
Stir together cream cheese and horseradish in small bowl. Set aside.
Cut bread in half horizontally. Spread horseradish mixture over cut-sides of bread. Spread cranberry sauce over horseradish mixture. Layer bottom half of bread with lettuce, roast beef, cheese and top half of bread.
To serve, cut loaf in to 6 sandwiches.
