This is a terrific, no bake meatball recipe from Womans Day magazine about 12yrs ago. Its one of my most favorite. I've made these a few hundred times and its one of my fave recipes to give away. They are fantastic made ahead of time and kept in freezer. I double bag them in freezer bags to prevent my freezer/ice from smelling like meatballs! I pull out a load of meatballs, place them frozen in the crockpot, add 2 jars of my fave pasta sauce and cook all day on low. Best ever spaghetti & meatballs.
EASIEST EVER MEATBALLS
2lb ground round
1 egg
2 TBL minced dry onion
1 TBL garlic salt
1/2C bread crumbs
2 TBL dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp pepper
Mix all ingredients well. Form 1" balls, place close but not touching on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil (easy cleanup).
Bake for 15min at 400.
****NOTE**** These will not be fully cooked after 15min, they will finish cooking while they simmer in spaghetti sauce.
