This is a recipe my sister gave to me. She used to work at the hometown pizza shop and this was their recipe they used. They called it a grinder on their menu.
Its got a good different flavor.

French sub rolls or hoagie rolls, sliced
    Italian sausage,cooked and crumbled
    pepperoni,sliced
    smoked ham,sliced
    mushrooms
    onions,sliced
    green peppers,sliced
    tomatoes,sliced
    mozzarella cheese
    thousand island dressing
    mayonaise(not miracle whip)
    melted butter
****I didn't put amounts because its depends on how much stuff you want to put on your sandwich****

1)Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Place a piece of foil on a cookie sheet.
2)Put a thin layer of thousand island dressing on the bottom bun of your hoagie rolls.
3)Stack or layer the ingredients in the following order(starting from the bottom):
    onions,green peppers,italian sausage,pepperoni, smoked ham,tomato,and mushrooms.Then the top bun.
4)Place sandwich on foillined pan and put in oven for about 5 minutes or until bread gets toasted.
5)Remove pan from oven.Add mozzarella cheese on top of the mushrooms.Put a thin layer of mayo on top bun and place bun on top of sandwich.
6)Put back into oven and bake until cheese is melted.
7)Remove from oven.Brush melted butter to the tops of the bun.
    Serve and enjoy.
