Italian Sausages in Sauce
2-28 oz. cans crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 large onion, minced
1 TBSP. oregano
1 TBSP. basil
2 pinches red pepper flakes
1/2 c. sangaria wine
12 Hot Italian sausages
Saute onion and garlic in a saucepan until tender. Place onion/garlic and all remaining ingredients in a crockpot. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Serve on hoagie rolls with favorite cheese on top. (Provolone or Mozzarella is our choice.)
