    Vegetable Pie With Peanut Butter Crust

    3 T. Butter
    5 T. Flour
    1 t. Salt
    1/2 t. Celery Salt
    1/2 t. Paprika
    3 C. Milk
    18 Small White Onions Cooked
    1 C. Cooked Peas
    1 C. Cooked String or Lima Beans
    2 C. Cooked Carrots sliced 1/2 inch thick

    Melt butter, Add flour. Stir until well blended. Add seasoning, add milk slowlystirring constantly until smooth and thick. Bring to a boil; boil 2 minutes
    Add Vegetables and pour into a large baking dish. Cover with the following crust.

    1 1/2 C. Flour
    3 t. Jewel Baking Powder
    1 t. Salt
    4 T Jewel Peantbutter
    1/2 C. Milk
    4 Strip's Bacon

    Sift first 3 ingredients; Add peanutbutter and mix thoroughly with fork . Add milk to make soft dough. turn out on floured board , toss lightly until outside looks smooth. Roll out to fit baking dish, cut slits for steam to escape. Cut bacon into very small and sprinkle over top. Bake 20 minutes in hot oven (425 F). Serves 8
