Barbecued Potato Chip Burgers

3 lbs. ground beef
2 cups crushed sour cream and onion potato chips
1 cup barbecue sauce
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
8 slices of cheddar cheese
8 hamburger buns
8 pieces of green leaf lettuce

Prepare grill for direct-heat cooking. Combine beef, chips, 1/2 cup sauce and parsley, shape into 8 patties. Grill, turning once until no longer pink in centers, 4-5 minutes per side. Top each burger with 1 slice of cheese. Cover; cook until cheese is melted, 1 minute. Serve on buns with lettuce and remaining sauce. Makes 8 servings.
