Gary Solomon's 45-Minute Spaghetti Dinner
1 Lb. spaghetti, cooked al dente
Sauce:
1 lg. can whole peeled or crushed Italian tomatoes
1 sm. can Hunts tomato sauce
1 sm. can Hunts tomato paste
2 lb. chopped meat
4 T. olive oil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 T. parsley
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 T. minced onion
dash crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 1/2 ts. sweet basil
2 T. butter
1 T. sugar
Brown meat with olive oil in large pot. Pour in tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings. Cook 30 minutes on medium low flame. Stir in tomato paste and cook 10 minutes more. Add butter. Serve over your favorite spaghetti or linguini. Sprinkle grated Romano cheese on top of pasta if you like.
