Fettuccine Alfredo

8 ounces fettuccine
8 ounces cream cheese, cut in small pieces
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
1/2 cup milk

Cook fettuccine in boiling salted water following package directions. In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter, and milk, stirring constantly until smooth and hot.
