Mandarin Orange Salad (not sure where I got this)

Dressing:
1 tsp each salt and Black pepper
3 tsp sugar
4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Dash Tabasco or Cayenne pepper
1/2 C Vegatable oil
Blend all together, add oil last. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Salad:
1 head each Romaine and Boston lettuce
1/2 cup chopped scallions
1 cup chopped celery
2 cans mandarin oranges, drained
1 sm pkg slivered or sliced "sugared" almonds
Layer all and toss dressing in just before serving. (to sugar almonds, pour about a 1/2 c sugar in nonstick pan, on low heat as sugar begins to melt stir in almonds).
