Molho de Pimenta e Limao

3 or 4 hot red or green peppers, seeded
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
salt
1/2 cup lime or lemon juice

Crush the peppers, onion, and garlic with salt to taste in a mortar with a pestle, adding the lime or lemon juice little by little, or puree in a blender or food processor. Serve in a bowl to accompany meat, poultry, or fish dishes and with Feijoada Completa (Black Beans with Mixed Meats).
