Hoisin Marinade
4 garlic cloves -- minced
2 teaspoons gingerroot -- grated
1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
1/3 cup honey -- at room temperature
1/3 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons dry red wine
2 tablespoons Oriental chili sauce
1 teaspoon salt
Mix all ingredients well. Use as a marinade and/or basting sauce.
I made this last night and used a pork tenderloin - I flashed it in a grill pan first, then re-glazed it and put in a 475°F oven for about 15 - 20 minutes. It has a little heat but not a lasting heat - it's there and then it's gone. VERY good and next time I want to try it with ribs. I did let it marinate all day.
