Paula's Pink Sauce

1 large jar spaghetti sauce
(or equivalent of your favorite homemade...
a smooth sauce is best, without veggie chunks)
1 sm can petite diced tomatoes
1 quart heavy cream
2 tsp nutmeg
garlic and onion salt, and pepper to taste

Add jar sauce to large saucepot, add tomatoes and garlic salt, onion salt, and pepper and heat through. Slowly add heavy cream, stiring in until sauce is very smooth. Add nutmeg a lttle at a time to avoid clumping and insure even distribution. Let simmer for approximately 15 mintues. Serve over your favorite pasta.
This sauce is great with a crusty bread and a salad with a sweeter dressing, like balsamic or a berry-type vinagrette.
