Mustard Sauce for Ham
2 beaten egg yolks
3 TBSP prepared mustard
3 TBSP vinegar
1 TBSP butter
1 TBSP sugar
1 TBSP horseradish
1/2 tsp salt
OPTIONAL: 3 TBSP dry mustard
1/4 cup whipping cream-whipped
In double boiler combine all ingredients except whipping cream. Cook and stir until thickened , about 2 mins. Remove from heat . Stir till sauce is cool and smooth, fold into whipped cream.
Makes 1 cup
Great for left over ham sandwiches after the holiday and perfect to 'dunk' piece of your ham into during the holiday meal.
