    SJP's Easy Baked Apples

These make your place smell sooo good! And I brought some to a potluck and everyone raved.

Small apples. 1-2 per person - Fuji or McIntosh or Rome or your fav
1 part brown sugar to one part walnut pieces for stuffing
    Cinnamon and nutmeg
    A little butter or margarine
    Half a lemon

    Preteat to 375

Mix walnuts and brown sugar in a bowl with about 1 teaspoon cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg.

Core your apples. I don't have a corer so I used a paring knife.

Place apples in pyrex or pan and sprinkle with fresh lemon juice.

Stuff with sugar/walnut mix and then dot a touch of butter or margarine on top.

Add a little water to the bottom of the pan, about 1-4 inch.

Bake 45 minutes to an hour.

Serve at a potluck or as a side dish or with ice cream for desert.
