Kansas Settler's Beans
1 can pork and beans
2 cans beans of your choice;
(could include kidney, lima, butter, pinto...whatever!)
1# ground beef
6-8 slices of bacon, fried and crumbled
1/2 diced onion, sauteed until caramelized
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/4 cup KC Masterpiece barbeque sauce (or your fav!)
1/4 cup ketchup
2 Tbs. molasses
Combine all ingredients together and place in a greased casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 90 minutes.
This can be doubled or even tripled for a large crowd. I think it needs the pork and beans, then whatever beans your family prefers!
