    Beef Stew

    2 pds lean chuck, cubed
    1/4 flour (can use more if needed)
    salt & pepper to taste
    1 cup sliced celery
    6 carrots, sliced
    6 potatoes, cubed
    1/2 cup cooking sherry
    1/4 cup oil ( can use more if needed)
    1 cup water
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 cup catsup
    2 teaspoons Worcestshire sauce
    1 small can mushrooms (optional)

    Roll meat in flour, and brown in oil.After browned, add the water, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

    Add catsup,sherry,worcestshire sauce,poatatoes,carrots,celery and onions.

    Bake covered at 350 degrees until carrots and potaotes are done adding more water if necessary.
