    Chicken Cheese Chowder

    4 slices bacon
    2 Tbsp. green pepper diced
    1 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
    dash salt
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    2 cups milk
    1 cup diced cooked chicken
    4 oz monterey jack cheese shredded

    Cook bacon till crisp, drain and reserve drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. Put 2 tbsp. reserved drippings in a saucepan. Add onion and green pepper-cook till tender. Add milk, soup, chicken, salt and 1/2 of the bacon. Heat thoroughly. Add cheese and stir to melt. Serve garnished with remaining bacon.
