Sweet Beets like Morrisons Cafeteria
2 Tbl Cornstarch
1/3 C Sugar
1/4 C water
1/4 C white vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 can sliced beets
Blend cornstarch in cold water until smooth. Add to pot on stove along with sugar. vinegar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Allow to thicken slightly. Add beets and simmer for 30 minutes.
