If you love mushrooms, this will be your favorite recipe. I always make it for holiday dinners and to take to potlucks. I am always told by friends and family they are the best sauteed mushrooms they have ever eaten.
This recipe came from the Tulsa World newspaper from a well established, popular restaurant here in Tulsa called, Rosie's Rib Joint. I couldnt find another recipe over the internet like this one, so I had to share it!!
Rosie's Sauteed Mushrooms
1 pound of fresh mushrooms
1 cup of butter (not margarine)
1/2 cup of cooking sherry
2 t. granulated beef boullion
2 t. granulated chicken boullion
1 1/2 t. black pepper
1 1/2 t. minced garlic, if desired
3/4 cup thinly sliced onions
3/4 cup thinly sliced green pepper
Combine butter, sherry, boullion, black pepper and garlic in pan. Bring to a light boil; add onion and green pepper. Simmer 2-3 minutes over low heat. Add washed mushrooms. Cover pan and continue simmmering about 20 minutes. Do not add salt.
