Poster's notes: Here is a recipe for their Cole slaw. My dad figured it out by taste. I don't have exact measurements, but I have tried it and it is pretty close
1 head of cabbage
1 red onion
1 white onion
1 yellow onion
about one cup of Miracle Whip
olive oil
Lawry's seasoned salt
pepper
Chop the cabbage by hand, if grated it is too watery. Chop about 1/4 of each
of the onions and add to the cabage, mix these together.
In a seperate bowl, mix the Miracle Whip with about 3 Tbsp water and 1 Tbsp
olive oil, add the Lawry's seasoned salt and pepper to taste. When this is
mixed well, pour over the cabbage mixture and stir until it is well blended.
The Lawry's season salt is what gives Cock of the Walk's slaw the tangy taste.
Cock Of The Walk Cole Slaw Recipe
1 head of cabbage
1 grated carrot
1/2 grated bell pepper (green)
4 green onions, finely chopped
1-1/2 Cups mayonnaise
1/2 Ounce white vinegar
1 Teaspoon black pepper
1 Teaspoon seasoning salt (Lawrys I have found is the best)
1 Teaspoon garlic salt
Mix well and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours. Serve cold.
DH & I were there and their food is delicious. We were at the one at Natchez
below the hill, quite a place. Very plain design. The waiter throw your
bread in the skillet and throw it up in the air and catch it. We liked this one
better than the one in Nashville.
For this recipe the pickles should be the size of the sliced pickles you put
on a hamburger or they will taste mushy.

All I know is that their food is delicious. Where they are located back in the
1800's the people "Up On The Hill" did not go down in that area. The men
from boats and bad women I shall put it were down the hill, and the
street was all mud.
Very interesting and beautiful town.
The man who was taking the money gave me a lot of things from their
restaurant to take home to my GS, I thought that was nice of him.
