  • ISO: Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

    Oh wow, let me tell you about the cake my neighbor shared with me and hubby. She layered in a retangular cake pan some ice cream sandwiches and then I think there was hot fudge and maybe peanuts and then another layer of ice cream sandwiches, coolwhip and more peanuts.

    Does anyone have this recipe to share?

    I remember that recipe on the old board. Sounds yummy.

      Here ya go:

      Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert

      10 ice cream sandwiches
      1 (16-ounce) container nondairy whipped topping
      1 jar of ice cream topping (you can use 2 or 3 flavors, if desired)
      1 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

      Line 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with ice cream sandwiches. Spread container of whipped topping over sandwiches. Drizzle your favorite ice cream topping(s) over the whipped topping and sprinkle with chopped peanuts, if desired.
      Place in freezer for a couple of hours before serving.

      Easy, fast, delicious.

      Makes 12 servings.

        This is pretty close to it but her's was 2 layer. I think I could adapt this recipe to make it work!

              Maybe this one is closer, same basic recipe with minor adjustments:

              Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert

              19 ice cream sandwiches
              1 (12 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
              1 (11 3/4 oz.) jar hot fudge ice cream topping
              1 C. salted peanut

              1. Cut one ice cream sandwich in half. Place one whole and one half sandwich along a short side of an ungreased 13x9" pan. Arrange eight sandwiches in opposite direction in the pan.

              2. Spread with half of the whipped topping. Spoon fudge topping by teaspoonsful onto whipped topping. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup peanuts. Repeat layers with remaining ice cream sandwiches, whipped topping and peanuts (pan will be full).

              3. Cover and freeze for up to 2 months.

              NOTE: Remove from the freezer 20 minutes before serving. Cut into squares.

              YIELD: 12 to 15 servings

                          I knew that I saw this on here yesterday, and I couldnt find it this AM...but I found this one.......just a little different:

                          1st layer: ice cream sandwiches
                          2nd layer: pour carmel syrup over
                          3rd layer: ice cream sandwiches
                          4th layer: more ice cream syrup
                          5th layer: whipped topping
                          6th layer: crushed Skor or Heath candy bars

                          Layer in 9 x 13 pan and freeze. YUM!!!!!!!!

                            I make this occasionally and also use the Heath candy bar pieces in between the layers and on top of them.
