  • BBQ Chicken Pizza & Pizza Dough Recipe

Does anyone have their favorite homemade pizza dough recipe? I may get brave and try and make dough from scratch. I don't have a bread machine so hope someone has a recipe for it without using one. One of these days I would like to buy one. Also..anyone ever make a bbq chicken pizza and if so..would you share with me please? Edited to say...we like thin crust pizza if anyone has a recipe for that.

We love the crust to this one!! It bakes really nice on a pizza stone. Just don't preheat the stone. Pre-bake the crust is helpful for about 5 min. When we make bbq chicken pizza,
    favorite bbq sauce
cheese- we use pepper jack, mozz, and provolone
cooked shredded or chunked or strips of chicken, seasoned with garlic and cajin seasoning
    red onion slices
green or red or both bell pepper slices
    cooked bacon crumbled
    or whatever you want.

    Thin Pizza Crust Recipe #95048
I'm a thin crust person and I found this on a web site (not sure which one). Very easy and bakes up crispy not soggy.

    28 min | 20 min prep | 8 slices 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
    1/4 teaspoon sugar
    3/4 cup hot water
    1 3/4 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
    your choice of pizza toppings
    precooked bacon
    tomatoes, sliced
    green peppers
    mozzarella cheese, shredded
    chopped garlic

Dissolve yeast and sugar in hot water.
    Let sit for 8 minutes.
    Meanwhile mix flour and salt.
Pour yeast mixture over flour mixture and mix well with a heavy spoon.
Turn onto floured surface and knead for 2 minutes.
    Spread into a 12-14" circle.
(I do this directly onto a pizza stone with a marble rolling pin).
If you roll it out on a counter top, transfer to a greased pizza pan, stretching to edges.
Cover with sauce and desired topping.
Bake at 500 degrees for 8-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
