  • Non Dairy Whip Topping

I have noticed that in Florida it's impossible to find non dairy whip topping anymore. For the past year most stores I visit do not have non dairy whip topping in the freezer section anymore. Now I have tried the Dream Whip but it doesn't taste as good and I need the non dairy since it holds better when you put deserts out for a long period of time.

Does anyone have any good ideas for non dairy whip topping? I was going to put some different types out next week for people to dip the fruit and deserts in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can't vouch for any specific recipes, but I've heard of tofu whipped topping and coconut milk whipped topping. Maybe you could google and find a good recipe that would work for you.

Do they carry the type in a spray can? If needed to top a dish, that should work.

maybe it's in the fridfge rather than the freezer, or vice versa ?

I've done a search and the only recipe that came up required milk powder which kind of defeats the purpose

          Homemade Whipped Topping

1 c instant nonfat dry milk
          1 c ice water
          1/4 c lemon juice
          1/2 c sugar

          Chill bowl and beaters.
Whip dry milk with water until soft peaks form, about 3 minutes.
Add lemon juice and beat until stiff, about 4 minutes.
          Fold in sugar.
