  • Instant potato soup

I used to have a recipe for potato soup. I know it had potato flakes and dried milk. I can`t remember what else or how much. Does anyone have this recipe? I would surely apprecdiate it. Thanks.

This is NOT tried and true and has been in my files for years. Hope it's what you need.

    Instant Potato Soup Mix

    3 1/2 c. instant mashed potato flakes
3 c. nonfat dry milk powder
1/4 c chicken bouillon powder or granules
4 tsp. dried mince onion flakes
    3 tsp. seasoned salt
    2 tsp. dried parlsye
    1/2 tsp dried thyme
    1/4 ts. tumeric
    1/2 tsp. white pepper

Combine all and store in an air tight container. Makes 5 c. of mix.

For each serving use 1/4 c of the mix and 1 c. boiling water. Allow to sit several minutes to thicken.

Thanks Mew. This is almost like the one I had, so thank you very much. My dh loves potato soup and I hate to make a big pot.

In the Kraft Food and Family magazine (I think it was Fall 07)...there is an easy and delicious potato soup recipe...much quicker than my homemade...you can find it on the Kraft website
