  • Help Me Spaghetti Sauce

I love spaghetti sauce, but I like a kind of sour sauce if that describes it have tried things to make it that way don't know which seasoning does it. I make a good sauce but not as tangy or sour as I like, I hope that this is an accurate assessment.
    thanks

Have you tried a little vinegar for the sour or tangy taste you're looking for?

I use plaine white vinegar. Just add a little at a time until you reach the tang level you want.

brown some chicken, roast or club steak in the pot before you add your sauce, then add some oregano and cook it for at least 1 hour and it will have a tang to it the longer it cooks the more it will darken and taste the way you like.

              Maybe red wine?

Simmer it longer. The sauce will thicken and become 'richer'. I always add red wine to my sauce because it seems to make a more flavourful sauce. If it is still not tangy enough, try a bit of red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegar--maybe a tablespoon full to start.
