  • anyone get a burn on roof of mouth??

I got soup and got a nasty burn on the roof of my mouth. It hurts so bad, I did listerine and it isn't helping, google it and found out just got to let it take it course. Today, I did have some relief. Wow!!! Anything would just make it bad, finally after about 4 days it is getting better, I hate that. It's was so uncomfortable.I will be so careful with hot food and let it cool off a bit before I eat it. Now I am scared with soup. Also with coffee, these places love to make it so hot. I will be careful next time. Getting a burn on the roof of the mouth is painful.

Here's an old remedy....rinse your mouth with warm salt water. This works for burns, canker sores inside the mouth and even helps heal the gums when a tooth is pulled. I usually use 1 tsp table salt in 6 or 8 oz water. Remember not to swallow any, it will upset the stomach.

      Good Luck!

I have to agree with Joyce's remedy. Salt Water works for me!

I've burnt the roof of my mouth with PIZZA, tons of times! It's one of those things (like canker sores & swollen taste buds) that I let run the course (& complain about, LOL) for a few days. Salt water rinses, Listerine & Chloraseptic spray make me feel like I'm DOING SOMETHING, but they only give temporary relief.

Peroxil mouth rinse works great. I always keep some in the house. Heals up burns in no time and same for canker sores or cuts in the mouth.
