Re: Your best Peach Cobbler recipe...
This is my favorite-and it is easy!
Easy Peach Cobbler
1 large can peaches in heavy syrup
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup self rising flour
Melt butter in cake pan in 350° F. oven.
Mix flour, sugar, milk, vanilla in bowl it's okay if it's lumpy. Pour into pan.
Pour peaches in middle of mixture.
Bake for about 45 minutes.
Note: You can use other can fruit as well.Nommie
Thought for the day: Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away!

Re: Your best Peach Cobbler recipe...
Larry makes the best ever dutch oven cobbler.
Dump in one can of peaches and one bag of frozen (sometimes he adds a bag of frozen berries - yum!). Sprinkle a dry white cake mix over the top of the whole thing. Dot the top with butter, cover and cook over the fire until done. Didn't see like it took that long either.

Re: Your best Peach Cobbler recipe...
This is a very old recipe that I got from my Grandma...I have made this many many times...It even works with pie filling
Grandma's Fruit Cobbler
Any kind of berries, peaches or apples work beautifully in this recipe
CAKE INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 and 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
3 cups fresh fruit of your choice
(If using peaches or apples, peel and slice thinly, as for a pie. If using large berries like strawberries, wash, trim off stems and cut in half lengthwise. If you are making apple cobbler add some cinnamon to the apples if desired.)
TOPPING INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, chilled
PREPARE CAKE:
Beat 1/4 cup softened butter at medium speed with an electric mixer.
Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating well.
Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
Combine 1 and 1/4 cups flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Add to butter mixture alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Spoon into a greased 8" square baking dish.
Arrange fruit on top.
PREPARE TOPPING:
Combine 1/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup sugar.
Cut in 1/4 cup chilled butter with a pastry blender until crumbly.
Sprinkle over fruit.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
*If the topping is not golden enough...Broil it for 1 to 2 minutes...That's what I did...WATCH VERY CLOSELY as it will burn quickly!
Serve warm with ice cream or sweetened whipped cream.
Yield: 8 servings

**Note: I used a round deep-dish pie plate instead of the 8" square pan. I also put the baking dish on a cookie sheet to catch the juices in case they ran over the edge.
Here's a pic of the peach one I made...
