  • Cakes made by using snack cakes

I know that there are cakes using ding-dongs, and twinkies out there, but I'm afraid to use anyone else's recipes on the web. You guys have me spoiled I only trust you. Any, and all would be appriciated. TIA
I'm out of bed, and dressed what more do you want?

Maddison makes a Ho Ho cake but not sure if the real Ho Ho's are in it. I posted a request the other day for an Ice-Cream Bar cake. It is excellent ~ more like a frozen cake or dessert.

      TWINKIE CAKE

      1 box Twinkies
1 large pkg. van. inst. pudding
      2 pts. strawberries
1 (9.6 oz.) tub whipped topping
      3 large bananas
      Nuts, optional

Split nine Twinkies in half and layer the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan
with them. The cream side should be facing up.

Cut up strawberries and bananas and layer pieces across the
      Twinkies.

Make the pudding as directed on the package minus one cup of
      milk.
Pour pudding on top of Twinkies and fruit.

Spread whipped topping over pudding. Sprinkle with nuts and
      decorate with fruit if desired.

Place in refrigerator for three hours. Serves 10 to 15.

I love pineapples and add those to this recipe also.

        TWINKIE STRAWBERRY DESSERT

1 (4.3 oz.) box instant van. pud.
1 (8 oz.) tub cool whip

In an 11x7x2 glass dish, layer whole Twinkies covering bottom of dish. Mix strawberry jello according to package directions. Slowly pour all of jello mixture over the Twinkies. I used to have the recipe using the ho ho cakes but I can't find it. I know it involved putting the cakes (I used Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls) in the bottom of the pan and covering with pudding. If I see the recipe, I would recognize it. Does anyone have a recipe to post?

Thought for the day: Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away!

I don't know if this is something you are looking for, but it's T&T & DH loves it!

            Black Forest Trifle

1 package (box) Swiss Rolls (you'll need a few more, so buy 2 boxes)
            2 C. Cool Whip
2 packages (4 servings each) vanilla instant pie filling
            2 C. milk
            1/8 t. vanilla
1 – 21 ounce can cherry pie filling

Reserve two chocolate rolls for garnish. Cut each of the remaining cake rolls lengthwise if half. Arrange enough cut cake rolls vertically cut side out around trifle bowl. Coarsely chop remaining cut cake rolls (this is where I needed more). Prepare pudding using only two cups milk & vanilla extract. Reserve 1/4 c. Cool Whip for garnish, fold remaining into pudding. Spoon half of the pudding into trifle bowl; add chopped cake rolls, then half of the cherry pie filling. Top with remaining pudding, make an indention in center and spoon the rest of the cherry filling. Top that with the remaining Cool Whip. Slice the last two cake rolls into rounds & set around on the top. Refrigerate two hours.
