  • Muchacos at Taco Bueno

We had this a few weeks ago and loved it. It was like a taco but wasn't on a flour tortilla, it was flakier and thicker and very soft. I have looked in all the grocery stores with no success. I thought maybe it was called flat bread but can't find it? I would like a recipe if anyone has one.
    TIA

Tia Maria tortilla brands has a thick flour tortilla. Thicker than a flat bread. Hope that helps.

you can make then from flour tortilla mix and just fry them on 300-310f oil, its just like Indian taco's but, I think they use some corn meal or corn flour in theres.

      I just found this

I found this blurb in an article about Taco Bueno...

..workers chowing down on burritos and "Muchachos," a signature menu item of pita bread with beans, beef shredded cheese and tomato..

Thanks. We buy pita bread and what they use is lighter, softer and so good. It's not at all like any tortilla. I sure wish you could buy them somewhere.
