    Hometown Buffet BBQ Ribs

    16 to 20 Ribs

    BBQ Sauce

    10 ounce can tomato soup
(8 oz) French or Catalina dressing
    1-teaspoon hickory flavored salt
    3 tablespoons dark molasses
    .
I par-boil ribs briefly in just enough water to cover about 6-8 minutes and
then place meat side up in shallow baking pan greased ever so lightly. I use
the same BBQ mixture we do with the Chicken, baking with 1/3 of prepared
sauce spread over ribs, 375°F. 90 minutes or till crispy and browned, but
basting 6-rib sections often in the BBQ sauce.

Allow 16 to 20 ribs for one recipe of BBQ sauce.

    BBQ Sauce

    Combine the above ingredients

      Hometown Buffet Bread Pudding

8 slices white bread, cut up
8 cinnamon rolls with glaze, cut up
      1/2 cup raisins

      Base Mix:
      4 eggs
      2 cups milk
      1/4 cup sugar
      1/4 cup butter melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more
      1 teaspoon vanilla

      Bread Pudding Sauce:
      3/4 parts prepared vanilla pudding
      1/4 part warm water
      1 dash vanilla
      .
Beat eggs and milk, stir in sugar, butter, cinnamon and vanilla.

Take a 13x9 pan and spray with Pam. Place the cinnamon rolls in a layer on
bottom of pan, add raisins, then layer the bread on top.

Next, add the base and press down until all the air bubbles have
disappeared. If any raisins are on the surface, push under bread. Place in a
325 degree oven for 45 minutes or until internal temperature is at 200
      degrees.

Top with 12 ounces of sauce.

        Hometown Buffet Butter Crust

Note: "The texture of this dough is not going to be at all like traditional piecrust dough. This dough is very moist and buttery feeling when you work with it. You might even wonder if you have too much butter in the recipe or maybe the 1/4-pound is a misprint! Trust me! It works!. It taste and looks as flaky as a French pastry crust! You don't need the one small mixing bowl plus your electric mixer to prepare it."

        Butter Crust Pie Crust

"No rolling pin used. This is the only piecrust I will use in baking pies."

        1/4 pound butter (or margarine)
        1-cup flour
        2 tablespoons sugar
        1-teaspoon salt
        1/4-teaspoon cinnamon
        .
Put the batter in 1 1/2 quart Pyrex mixing bowl and melt it in microwave on
"defrost" or melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, but DO NOT let it
change color. Butter must still be warm when you work with it. Have the rest
of the ingredients all in one cup or small bowl and have electric mixer
plugged in and ready to use! Work quickly with this. When butter is
completely melted dump in those other ingredients all at once and beat with
mixer on high speed for 1/2 minute! Just 30 seconds! That's all! The mixture
will leave the center of the bowl and start to cling to the sides of the
bowl. Gather it up quickly and pat it out evenly over Pam-sprayed 9" pie pan
(or for thinner crust use 10")

Partially bake the crust empty at 375°F. for 10 minutes before adding a
baked-type filling and for a NO-BAKE Filling, completely bake the crust at
375°F. for about 18 minutes or till golden brown. Makes one crust.

DO NOT DOUBLE THIS RECIPE because the dough must be warm when you pat it out
over the prepared pan. If dough cools off it will crumble and become a mess!
You'll weep and write me a letter of complaint!

Margarine is all right in a pinch or for low cholesterol diets, but the
        butter gives the best flavor.

              Hometown Buffet Chocolate Pudding Cake

              1 cup flour
              1/2 cup sugar
              2 tablespoons unsweetened dry cocoa
              2 teaspoons Baking Powder
              1/2 teaspoon salt

              1/2 cup milk
              2 tablespoons oil
              2 teaspoon vanilla
              1-1/2 cups boiling water
              .
In large mixing bowl combine 1-cup flour, 1/2-cup sugar, 2 tablespoons
unsweetened dry cocoa, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt and set
              aside.

Mix together separately 1/2-cup milk, 2 tablespoons oil, 1-teaspoon vanilla
and with mixer on medium-high beat liquid into dry ingredients, beating 3
              minutes or till smooth.

Spread batter evenly in bottom of an ungreased 9"square baking pan. Set
aside while you combine 3/4-cup sugar and 1/4-cup unsweetened dry cocoa
gradually stirring in 1 1/2-cups boiling water till it's smooth.

Pour carefully over batter in pan but do NOT stir it at all!

Bake at 350°F. about 30 minutes or till tester inserted in middle comes out
              clean.

While warm you can spoon it into dessert dishes as you do when you're at The
              Buffet.

              Serves 9 nicely.
