    Hey Everyone, I am getting a brand new fancy schmancy pizzelle iron and was wondering if you could share your favorite recipes with me. Any flavor will do!!

    I want to experiment before the holidays sneak up on me

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    2 cups margarine
    3 1/4 cups sugar
    12 eggs
    1/4 teaspoon anise oil
    2 tablespoons lemon extract
    2 tablespoons vanilla
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    7 cups flour
    4 teaspoons baking powder

    Cream Margarine and add sugar and eggs. Add anise, lemon and vanilla. Add dry ingredients, mix well with mixer.
    Drop onto hot iron by heaping 3/4 tablespoon. Bake about one minute and five seconds.

    Yield:
    "12 dozen"

      I'll sample any trials . Love my pizzelle maker too. Don't have any special recipe, though, just browse the internet and try different ones. They are all good. We just prefer the ones using anise flavoring over the seeds. That's just us; love that licorice taste.

          Oh thank you all........I prefer Anise Oil also over the seeds in my pizzelles too Suwannee. I think my cousin and I are going to have a Pizzelle Making Marathon this up coming holiday. We want to try all kinds of recipes so thank you.

            I'll look for the recipe my Italian neighbor gave me years ago ------------ as you might have already guessed, it's been a while since I fired up the gadget myself. It was one of the appliances that I insisted move from Clearwater with us. My neighbor's mother would make 100's of these when she came for visits. What a nice gift you will be giving. Hope I can share her recipes .. gotta go digging .
