I have found the dried buttermilk that you re-constitute at the store, I have also frozen the buttermilk in 2 cup portions, that is what my pancake recipe calls for, when you thaw it, you just have to shake it up.

I have substituted this for buttermilk in cake recipes...
1 cup milk
1 TBS lemon juice or white vinegar
Just mix together..it will curdle.
I am not tried and true to use this for what you are needing it for.

is there a way that I can make butter milk @ home I use it when I make deep fried pork chops and well I was just wanting to know if there was a way i could make it at home when I need it as not to have to stop @ the store for it thanks in advance RobbinTags: None
