Re: Amish Friendship Bread
Every few months, DH's boss gives me a starter. I tried to do it, just can't make myself do it right. If I get some soon, I'll see if you still need one and send it to you. I'll ask him to ask his boss to ask his wife.
think it can ship from texas to michigan and be ok. i need some for next month. i like to have coffee and some sort of treat out for the guys when they are working in the fields.SHEL

Re: Amish Friendship Bread
this is the recipe that i use. it comes out really well. the only thing i do different is, i bake it in 4 small loaf pans. (the pampered chef stoneware mini loaf pan)
1 cup starter
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (large box) instant vanilla pudding
Mix the starter, oil, milk, eggs, and vanilla. In a second bowl, mix
the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, nuts,
and vanilla pudding. Combine the two mixtures together and stir well.
Pour into two large, well greased and sugared loaf pans. Bake at 325
degrees for 1 hour
