Paula Deen’s Turtle Trifle
10-12 Servings
1-21oz package chewy fudge brownie mix ( cooked according to directions}
2 c sugar
1 1/3 c light corn syrup
2/3 c melted butter
4 lge eggs
¼ tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
3 c chopped pecans
1 16 oz non-dairy whipped topping
1 12 oz jar of caramel sauce
2 c toasted pecans
Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, eggs, salt and vanilla . Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool. Layer brownies, sugar mixture, caramel, whipped topping and chopped pecans, ending with a drizzle of caramel and the toasted pecans.
