1 cup green bell pepper -- chopped (I omit)
3/4 cup onion -- chopped
1 TABLESPOON vegetable oil (I use olive oil)
2 garlic cloves -- pressed
1 teaspoon dried oregano -- divided
2 package refrigerated pizza crust -- (10 ox each)
8 oz thinly sliced deli roast beef
8 oz thinly sliced American cheese
1 egg white -- lightly beaten
1 TABLESPOON water
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Use a food chopper and chop bell pepper and onion. Heat a skillet with oil over medium heat until hot. Add garlic,onion, 1/2 tsp oregano and bell pepper and saute for 3-4 mins.
Remove vegetable mix from heat. Unroll 1 pizza crust onto lightly floured surface. Us a lightly floured pizza roller/rolling pin, roll out crust to 12" x 9" rectangle; cover with half of the beef, cheese and vegetable mixture to within 1/2" of edges of dough.
Starting at longest side of rectangle, roll up dough, jelly-roll fashion; press seam together to seal. Repeat with remaining crust and filling ingredients.
Place rolls, seam sides down, on 15" Round baking stone/pan. Join ends of rolls together to form 1 large ring; press ends together to seal.
In a small bowl, combine egg white and water; brush onto dough using a pastry brush or spatula ( if you don't have a pastry brush).
Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 tsp oregano. Bake 20-25 mins or until golden brown. Double check time in oven and increase if dough is not done. Let stand 10 mins before cutting.
