CHEESE & HERB GRILLED BREAD
Serve this tasty bread as a snack or with meals. Prepare ample amounts, as it is sure to disappear quickly.
Preparation 20 min.
Grilling 15 min.
Cheese Spread Ingredients:
3 ounces (3/4 cup) LAND O LAKESŪ Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1/2 cup LAND O LAKESŪ Butter, softened
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Bread Ingredients:
1 (1-pound) loaf French or Italian bread, sliced diagonally 3/4-inch
Heavy-duty aluminum foil
Instructions:
Heat one side of gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Place coals to one side in charcoal grill.
Meanwhile, combine all cheese spread ingredients in small bowl. Spread onto cut-sides of bread slices. Wrap bread in aluminum foil; tightly seal top and ends. Place bread on grill opposite heat. Close lid; grill, turning over after half the time, until cheese is melted (15 to 20 minutes).
Oven Directions: Heat oven to 400°F. Prepare bread as directed above. Wrap bread in aluminum foil; tightly seal top and ends. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Yield: 12 servings
