This arrived in my email this am. IMHO, it looks sinfully good.
Chocolate Covered Cherry Pie
Easy to make, delicious to eat, difficult to forget!
1 large can cherry pie filling
1 12 oz. pkg. Toll House chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated)
1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract
1 deep dish pie frozen crust (prepared as directed for 1 crust pie)
Can of Reddi Whip or tub of frozen Dream Whip, thawed
Maraschino cherries with stem
Prepare pie crust and cool. In a microwave safe bowl place chocolate
chips and condensed milk.
Place in microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes. Remove from
microwave and stir thoroughly, adding extract. Stir until smooth. Fold
in cherry pie filling and continue folding until well incorporated. Pour
into pie shell and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
When ready to serve, cut into small pieces - this is very rich. Top
each piece with a dollop of whipped cream and top the whipped cream with
a maraschino cherry
