Chutney-Glazed Meatballs
MEATBALLS:
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 cup unseasoned dry bread crumbs
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
SAUCE:
1/ cut chutney
1/2 cup ketchup
1 (8-oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. grated gingerroot
1. Heat oven to 375. In large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients; mix well. Shap into 48 (1-inch) meatballs; place in ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
2. Bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center.
3. Meanwhile, in large saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients; mix well. Cook over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until bubbly.
4. Add meatballs to sauce; stir to coat. Cook over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated; stirring occasionally.
