Here are some popcorn recipes that you may all enjoy.
CHOCOLATE POPCORN
12 cups popped popcorn
1 c.sugar
2/3 c.dark corn syrup
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
1 c.(6oz) semisweet chocolate morsels
1 tsp vanilla extract
1)Place popcorn on a lightly greased 15x10 inch jelly roll pan;set aside.
2)Bring sugar,syrup,and butter to a boil in a saucepan over medium heat,stirring constantly. Remove from heat;add chocolate morsels and vanilla,stirring until melted.
3)Drizzle chocolate mixture over popcorn, stirring to coat.
4)Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour,stirring occasionly.Transfer popcorn to a wax paper-lined pan to cool,stirring occasionally.
Makes 14 cups
CHILI POPCORN
2 (3.5oz)packages butter-flavored microwave popcorn
1 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp chili powder
pinch of ground red pepper
Prepare popcorn according to package directions Combine cheese and next 5 ingredients.Open popcorn bags carefully;sprinkle cheese mixture evenly in both.Close bags;shake to coat. Serve immediatly or store in an airtight container.
Makes 8 cups
CARAMEL-NUT POPCORN CLUSTERS
1 (14oz) package caramels
2 Tbsp whipping cream
12 c.popped popcorn
1 c.dry-roasted peanuts
Combine caramels and whipping cream in a glass bowl.Microwave at high for 3 minutes or until melted,stirring mixture once.Place popcorn and peanuts in a large bowl.Drizzle with caramel sauce,tossing gently to coat.Place popcorn mixture on a lightly greased 15x10 inch jellyroll pan.Bake at 250 degree for 1 hour. Cool.
