    THIS IS THE RECIPE OF THE DAY FROM WWW.RECIPECENTER.COM, DH DOESN'T LIKE CHOCOLATE AND PEPERMINT TOGETHER, HE'S WEIRD, BUT I MAY JUST HAVE TO MAKE SOME FOR MYSELF!! LOL


    Peppermint Fudge

    Yield: serving
    Ingredients:
    1 2/3 cup granulated sugar
    2/3 cup NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
    2 tbsp butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 cup miniature marshmallows
    1 1/2 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
    1/2 tsp vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp peppermint extract
    1/4 cup crushed, hard peppermint candy

    Procedures:
    1 COMBINE sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
    2 STIR in marshmallows, morsels, vanilla extract and peppermint extract. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Pour into foil-lined 8-inch-square baking pan; cool for 1 minute. Top with candy, pressing in slightly. Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into pieces.

    yumm. Nu have you made the peppermint bark from epicurious? We make it every year for gifts it's as good as what you buy at Williams-Sonoma.
