Criola Sauce
This pungent, sweat-inducing sauce has it's roots in Ecuador. The sauce's spicines can vary depending on how hot the jalapenos are. See the jalapenos if your sensitive to heat.
Makes 1 cup; Total time: 10 min.
4 jalapenos, chopped
1/2 cup white onion, chopped
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 T. olive oil
Salt to taste
Mince all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Refrigerate for up to a week.
Per 1 T: 12 cal; 66% caloris from fat: 1g total fat; 1g carb, 0mg sodium; 0g fiber; 0g protein.
They use it to top off some comombian Chicken Stew.
