I think it would be better with butterscotch chips
Peanut Brittle Bars
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
Topping
2 cups salted peanuts
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 jar(12 .5-oz.)caramel topping
3 tablespoons all purpose flour
1.Heat 0ven to 350 degrees.Grease 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan with shortening.In large bowl,mix all base ingredients except butter.With pastry blender or fork,cut in butter until crumbly.Press mixture evenly in bottom of pan.Bake 8 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.
2.Remove partially baked base from oven.Sprinkle peanuts and chocolate chips over warm base. In small bowl,mix caramel topping and 3 tablespoons flour until well blended.Drizzle evenly over chocolate chips and peanuts.
3.Return to oven,bake 12 to 18 minutes longer or until topping is set and golden brown.Cool completely,about 1 hour.Cut into bars
