  • Oven Baked French Toast

    OVEN BAKED FRENCH TOAST

    350* for 45 - 55 minutes



    8 eggs

    1 1/2 cups half & half

    1/3 maple syrup

    1/3 light brown sugar

    10 - 12 slices bread (1 inch thick)





    TOPPING:

    1/2 cup butter

    1/2 cup brown sugar

    2/3 cup maple syrup

    2 cups chopped pecans





    Grease 13 x 9 pan. Mix eggs, half & half, maple syrup and brown sugar in large bowl. Place the bread slices in pan and cover with the egg mixture. Cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight.



    To make topping: Melt the butter, brown sugar and maple syrup and cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Add pecans. Pour over bread and bake for 45 - 55 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 -15 minutes before serving.
